In this issue, we will introduce five carefully selected indoor spots in Yokohama that adults can enjoy to the fullest, regardless of the weather. Planetariums, aquariums, ramen theme parks, and more are not just "alternatives for rainy days.
Whether you want to be active on a rainy day or just want to relax in peace and quiet, this list is perfect for both, so please take a look
1.Konica Minolta Planetaria YOKOHAMA

Konica Minolta Planetaria YOKOHAMA is the first planetarium in the Kanto area to feature the DYNAVISION®-LED LED dome system, located in the Yokohama Gate Tower, within walking distance of Yokohama Station. This system enables high-luminance and wide color gamut images, which were difficult to achieve with conventional projector systems, and beautifully reproduces a clear blue sky, a bright red sunset, and a twinkling starry sky.

Inside the dome, there are general seats with reclining functions and a limited number of “Planet Seats,” which are premium seats with four seats. In the Planet Seat, you can stretch out your legs and lie down to enjoy the starry sky as if you were floating in outer space. The starry sky seen from the Planet Seat is truly breathtaking!
In addition, drinks and food purchased at “Cafe Planetaria” can be brought into the dome and enjoyed, creating a peaceful time under the stars.

The museum also has a gift store with original space-themed goods. Choosing a memento of your visit will surely be a special moment!
Offering an extraordinary healing space away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Planetaria YOKOHAMA is the perfect rainy day outing or a refreshing spot for adults.

2.VS PARK Yokohama World Porters Store

VS PARK Yokohama World Porters is an indoor activity facility operated by Namco Bandai Amusement Inc. that is attracting attention as an “all-weather entertainment spot” where you can have fun regardless of the weather.
Located on the fourth floor of Yokohama World Porters, the main attraction of this facility is that it offers an experience similar to that of a TV variety show.

There are more than 26 unique activities, including “Nigekiru,” a physical activity, “Jump x Jump,” a jumping athletic game, and other games that test your reflexes.
If you come with friends or as a couple, you can return to your childhood memories and go all out. Even adults who don't usually have a chance to move will find themselves getting caught up in the fun.

Since it is not affected by the weather, you can enjoy it comfortably even on rainy days or when the seasons change. This is the perfect spot for those who want to exercise to the fullest, laugh, and blow away stress.

3.Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum

The Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum (commonly known as “Ra-Haku”) is an indoor food theme park that ramen lovers can enjoy comfortably even on rainy days. Inside the museum is a retro space that recreates the streets as they were in 1958, giving visitors the feeling as if they have stepped back in time.

On the first and second basement floors, famous ramen stores from all over Japan are gathered, allowing visitors to enjoy local ramen from Hokkaido to Kyushu all at once. In addition, reimported ramen stores that have gained popularity overseas are also located here, allowing visitors to enjoy a wide variety of tastes from Japan and abroad.

The museum also has an exhibition corner where visitors can learn about the history and culture of ramen, and a nostalgic candy shop called “Yuyake Shoten” where visitors can not only eat ramen, but also enjoy looking at it. In addition, visitors can try their hand at making ramen by pounding green bamboo or cutting noodles and eating them on the spot!
The Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum, where you can experience Japanese food culture through ramen, is the perfect place to go on a rainy day.

4.ASOBUILD

Boasting excellent access directly connected to Yokohama Station, “ASOBUILD/ASOBUILD” is a treasure trove of indoor entertainment that can be spent comfortably even on rainy days.
It is a hands-on complex where you can play, eat, create, and feel all at once, making it an attractive place for both adults and children to spend their time as they please. Of particular note are the many “adults can really play” contents, such as regularly changing exhibits, escape games, VR experiences, billiards, and more.

It is packed with fun experiences that couples and friends can enjoy together, making it a perfect change of pace during the rainy season. There are also a variety of restaurants inside the museum, so when you get tired of playing, you can take a break while enjoying local gourmet foods and sweets. Enjoying a bite to eat in Asobiru Yokocho is also a popular way for adults to have fun!

If you participate in a handmade workshop, you will be happy to have a “memorable experience” on a rainy day. Because it is close to the station and all-weather, we strongly recommend this spot as an outing destination during the rainy season, when schedules tend to be disrupted.

5.Hakkeijima Sea Paradise

Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is a marine leisure complex surrounded by the sea, located in Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama. The island has four aquariums with different themes, including one of the largest aquariums in Japan, the Aqua Museum, which exhibits more than 120,000 marine creatures of 700 species.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of experiences at “Dolphin Fantasy,” where they can enjoy performances by dolphins and beluga whales, “Fureai Lagoon,” where they can interact with sea creatures, and “Umi Farm,” where they can cook and eat the fish they catch on the spot.
In addition, the amusement park area “Pleasure Land” offers ocean-themed attractions and authentic roller coasters, making it a popular place for couples and friends to visit.

In addition, there are a variety of restaurants, cafes, and shopping areas, making this a spot where visitors can enjoy themselves all day long. Even on rainy days, visitors can visit without worrying about the weather, as there are plenty of indoor facilities. Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is recommended for visitors of all ages as a place where they can have an extraordinary experience based on the themes of the sea, islands, and living creatures.

Summary
